Surgical Missions

Surgical missions are an opportunity for donors to have a direct impact on a life-saving event. Sponsors may elect to sponsor an entire mission, several missions, or a portion of a single surgical mission. 

Surgical missions require that a team of surgeons, cardiologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals travel to a country where children do not have access to the medical procedures necessary to save their lives. These missions allow Gift of Life International to reach more and more children each year, and without the intervention of GOLI, these children would likely succumb to their medical conditions. The surgical mission's sole goal is to perform surgery on children.

Sponsors may expect to spend between $25,000 and $50,000 for a surgical mission, depending on mission location and services provided. This donation funding enables Gift of Life to directly save the lives of between 15 and 30 children who would not otherwise survive.
