Multimillion-Dollar Pediatric Cardiac Center for Jamaica

Through Chain of Hope and Gift of Life, the missions team will continue to travel to Jamaica to train staff under a three-year program, while continuing to conduct the surgeries until the centre can successfully operate on its own.

The Rotary District 7980 Gift of Life Foundation works with other Gift of Life Organizations, Rotary Clubs and Districts, Local Governments and NGOs to contribute in the development of sustainable pediatric cardiac care programs. Currently we are working in the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
Update on GOL Child

It has been a year since I’ve seen Ronnie... wow our little boy is growing up. A child whose Mom was told there was no hope for her beautiful little boy with a complex congenital heart defect, is now full of hope and encouragement. Ronnie is now attending elementary school, while he has a lot of catching up to do, he’s up for the challenge. To the amazement of the “his” medical team.... Ronnie walks a half miles each way to school, is riding a bicycle and playing with other kids.
Gift of Life Program saves a Filipino child

Ten-month-old Ashlee Mae Tan was flown to New York City on Aug. 31 by the Gift of Life for an emergency operation to correct her defect known as tetralogy of fallot at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.

The International Children’s Heart Foundation, in cooperation with Gift of Life Northeast Ohio, District #6630, helped save the lives of 13 children in June. The groups partnered to offer surgeries to local children with congenital heart defects (CHDs).
